Mr. Evans
One of my favorite drives to take when I am back home in beautiful Colorado, is the Mt. Evans Peak drive.
Mt. Evans is a 14,000 foot peak (called a 14er by locals) and you can drive all the way to the top. Highly recommended if you have the time the next time you are in Colorado.
On your way to the top you are surrounded by expansive views, wildlife, little oxygen, and crisp air. I love stopping off at the myriad of pulloffs along the way up and capturing the beauty at every turn.
Keep your eyes peeled as you climb for marmots, big horn sheep, white mountain goats, and many more creatures of the wild.
Make sure to bring some winter gear as the weather on top of Mt. Evans changes often. It can be hot and sunny down below and blizzard conditions at the summit.
You feel like you're on top of the world up there...it's a special place!
